Editorial & Data Accuracy Policy

Every number in a MoneyWiseCalc calculator traces back to an official government source. This page explains where our data comes from, how often we verify it, and what to do if you spot something wrong.

Who maintains MoneyWiseCalc

MoneyWiseCalc is built and maintained by a small Australian team that develops and verifies every calculator directly against primary sources — the ATO, the RBA, all eight state and territory revenue offices, and Housing Australia. We are not a lender, broker or financial adviser, and we don't accept payment to alter calculator results. How the site makes money is disclosed on our About page.

Where our data comes from

We use primary official sources only — never third-party aggregators — for every rate, threshold, bracket and concession:

How often we verify

Each calculator shows its last-updated date at the top of the page, and the stamp duty engine carries an internal version number and per-state source citations with retrieval dates.

Corrections

If you believe a rate, threshold or calculation is wrong, email contact@moneywisecalc.com.au with the calculator, your inputs and the source you're comparing against. Verified errors are corrected as a priority and noted in the log above. See also our full data sources page.

What our calculators are — and aren't

MoneyWiseCalc provides general information and estimates only. Results depend on the accuracy of your inputs and on simplifications documented on each calculator page. They are not financial, tax, credit or legal advice, and final figures — especially stamp duty concessions and tax outcomes — should be confirmed with the relevant government authority or a licensed professional before you act.
